Kebbi State is one of the 36 states of Nigeria, located in the North West geopolitical zone. The state capital is Birnin Kebbi, which is the administrative, commercial and political centre of the state. Kebbi covers a total land area of 37,454 km². The state has an estimated population of 4,800,000 people. The population density is approximately 128 persons per km².
