Who we are
TL;DR — A Nigerian teamCurrent Affairs Nigeria (currentaffairs.com.ng) is an independent civic information platform built and maintained by a small Nigerian team. We are not affiliated with any government agency, political party, or corporate interest.
Our mission is simple: make Nigeria’s civic data — governors, senators, ministers, universities, local governments — free, accurate and easy to find for every Nigerian, whether they’re preparing for WAEC, doing research, or just curious about who runs their state.
What we collect — and why
TL;DR — Very littleWe collect only what we genuinely need to run the platform. Here is the full, honest list:

We cannot see it. You can clear it anytime by clearing your
browser data.
That is genuinely everything. We do not run hidden tracking pixels, we do not fingerprint your browser, and we do not build profiles about you.

Children and young people
TL;DR — Safe for studentsMany of our users are students preparing for WAEC, JAMB and NECO — and we take that responsibility seriously. This platform contains no adult content, no advertising, and no features designed to collect data from children.
Since we require no account or registration, young people can use the entire platform without giving us any personal information. Quiz progress is stored in their own browser only.
If you are a parent or teacher with concerns, please contact us — we will respond promptly.
If this policy changes
TL;DR — We tell you upfrontWe will update this page if our data practices change, and we will note the date at the top of the page. If the change is significant — like if we ever started collecting more data or working with new third parties — we will add a visible notice on the homepage.
We will not hide material changes in fine print. That is a promise.
