Kaduna State is one of the 36 states of Nigeria, located in the North West geopolitical zone. The state capital is Kaduna, which is the administrative, commercial and political centre of the state. Kaduna covers a total land area of 46,053 km². The state has an estimated population of 8,300,000 people. The population density is approximately 180 persons per km².
