Federal Polytechnic Wannune is a federal polytechnic located in Wannune, Tarka Local Government Area of Benue State. The institution obtained official approval from the Benue State Ministry of Education in September 2001 and received NBTE accreditation in 2007. Located at Km 8, Gboko-Aliade Road, the polytechnic offers National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) programmes in engineering, sciences, management, agriculture and other fields. Operating under the motto "Excellence, Service and Creativity," Fidei Polytechnic was established as a complement to government efforts in technical education through private participation. Harry Pass Polytechnic is a private polytechnic listed in the NBTE 2025 Directory of Accredited Programmes (25th Edition), located in Tse Usen Mkar, Mkar, Gboko Local Government Area of Benue State. Akawe Torkula Polytechnic (ATP) is a state polytechnic in Makurdi, the capital of Benue State. It was upgraded from the Akawe Torkula College of Advanced and Professional Studies (ATCAPS) by the Benue State Executive Council in January 2020 when Governor Samuel Ortom signed the enabling bill converting two Benue State colleges into polytechnics. The polytechnic is named after Chief Akawe Torkula, a prominent Tiv leader. Staff were recruited by the state government in June 2021. Dr. Martin Moses Agena was appointed rector on April 25, 2024 by Governor Hyacinth Iormem Alia, with a mandate to reposition the institution as a leader in cutting-edge technical education. The polytechnic is committed to global perspectives, innovative teaching and strong industry links. Makurdi, as the state capital, gives the polytechnic access to a wide base of prospective students and employers.

Akperan Orshi Polytechnic, Yandev (AOPOLY) is a state polytechnic in Yandev, Gboko Local Government Area of Benue State, with origins dating to 1926 when the British colonial administration established a farm training centre at Yandev in Tiv Province. In 1973, the Benue-Plateau State Government upgraded it to a School of Agriculture. The Department of Agriculture from the Murtala College of Arts, Science and Technology, Makurdi, was merged into the college in 1983. It was renamed Akperan Orshi College of Agriculture in 1992 in memory of HRH Orchiviligh (Dr.) James Akperan Orshi, Tor Tiv III, the late paramount ruler of Tivland. On June 10, 2020, the Benue State Government upgraded it to full polytechnic status under Governor Samuel Ortom. The polytechnic sits on a 231-hectare campus and is accredited by the NBTE. Current rector is Dr. Simon Iorchor. The governing council is chaired by Chief Dr. Victoria Terkumbur Pillah. In February 2025, the NBTE conducted an accreditation visit to the institution.

Benue State Polytechnic is the premier state polytechnic in Benue State, established in 1977 as the Murtala College of Arts, Science and Technology by then military governor Colonel Abdullahi Shelleng. It was upgraded to polytechnic status in 1992 and is located in Ugbokolo, Okpokwu Local Government Area, in the southern part of Benue State. Accredited by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE), the polytechnic operates under the motto "Excellence and Relevance." It serves as the administrative hub for several Benue State polytechnics including Akperan Orshi Polytechnic (Yandev), Akawe Torkula Polytechnic (Makurdi), and Gboko Polytechnic (Gboko), whose students use the Benue State Polytechnic student portal for HND registrations and statement of results processing. The institution offers a wide range of ND and HND programmes across arts, engineering, environmental studies, business, and technology.

Gboko Polytechnic is a state polytechnic located in Gboko, the major commercial and cultural city of Tivland in Benue State. Listed in the NBTE 2025 Directory of Accredited Programmes (25th Edition) with a 2015 establishment date, the polytechnic provides technical and vocational education to students in the Gboko Local Government Area and surrounding communities. Gboko is the heartland of the Tiv people and is known as the cultural capital of Tivland. Students of Gboko Polytechnic process their HND registrations and Statements of Results through the shared Benue State Polytechnic online student portal, alongside sister institutions Akperan Orshi Polytechnic and Akawe Torkula Polytechnic.
