Gboko Polytechnic (GBOKOPOLY)

Federal Polytechnic Wannune is a federal polytechnic located in Wannune, Tarka Local Government Area of Benue State. It was approved by President Muhammadu Buhari in 2021 as part of the Federal Government's initiative to establish a federal polytechnic in each state of the federation, and commenced academic activities in 2022. Accredited by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) and supported by the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund), the polytechnic offers ND and HND programmes in engineering, technology, agriculture, sciences, and management. The institution is committed to producing practically skilled graduates who can contribute to national development. It operates a Career Service Center to connect students with industry and entrepreneurship opportunities. The polytechnic runs Remedial, ND, Pre-HND, and HND programmes and accepts applications through the JAMB portal.

The Nigerian Army Institute of Technology and Environmental Science (NAITES), Makurdi — also referenced in some official sources as the Nigerian Army College of Environmental Science and Technology (NACEST) — is a federal military technical institution located in Makurdi, Benue State. Tracing its institutional origins to 1960, it is one of the oldest technical training institutions in Benue State. NAITES offers National Diploma (ND) programmes accredited by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) and is listed on the JAMB portal for civilian and military personnel. The institution is under the authority of the Nigerian Army and trains both military staff and civilian students in technical, environmental and management disciplines. Ashi Polytechnic is a private polytechnic established in 2018 and accredited by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE), located in Anyiin, Logo Local Government Area of northwestern Benue State. With a vision to empower students for the labour market and self-employment, Ashi Polytechnic aims to create a learning environment that meets the education, training and development expectations of students from Logo, Ukum, Ushongo and surrounding LGAs in northwestern Benue State — an area historically underserved by higher institutions. Fidei Polytechnic is a private NBTE-accredited polytechnic in Gboko, Benue State, founded by Rev. Fr. Dr. Chris Utov, a Catholic priest and educationist, in response to the growing demand for polytechnic education among Benue indigenes. The institution obtained official approval from the Benue State Ministry of Education in September 2001 and received NBTE accreditation in 2007. Located at Km 8, Gboko-Aliade Road, the polytechnic offers National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) programmes in engineering, sciences, management, agriculture and other fields. Operating under the motto "Excellence, Service and Creativity," Fidei Polytechnic was established as a complement to government efforts in technical education through private participation. It admits students of all backgrounds regardless of cultural or religious affiliation.

Harry Pass Polytechnic is a private polytechnic listed in the NBTE 2025 Directory of Accredited Programmes (25th Edition), located in Tse Usen Mkar, Mkar, Gboko Local Government Area of Benue State. The polytechnic serves the Mkar community and surrounding areas. Mkar is a significant educational and healthcare hub in Benue State, home to the University of Mkar (a private Catholic university) and the Benue State University Teaching Hospital (BSUTH). The Polytechnic Otada Adoka is a private NBTE-accredited polytechnic established in 2016 by Negro Holding Limited, located in Otada, Otukpo Local Government Area of Benue State. Located in Otukpo, one of the major towns in southern Benue State and the cultural heartland of the Idoma people, it serves students from the Otukpo, Ado, Okpokwu, Ogbadibo and Apa local government areas — the Idoma speaking communities of Benue State.
