Delta Central Polytechnic, also known as Delta Central College of Business Management Studies (DECCOBAMS), is a private polytechnic located in Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State. Founded in 2019, the institution received full accreditation from the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) in 2024 following a regulatory resource inspection. The polytechnic operates from a temporary site campus along Ekiugbo Road in Ughelli and is working toward establishing a permanent campus. Under the rectorship of Engr Anthony Okagbare, the institution has grown steadily, matriculating 518 fresh students at its 5th Matriculation Ceremony in March 2025 — a 62.9% increase from 318 students in 2024. Since its founding in 2019, Delta Central Polytechnic has produced over 600 graduates who have gone on to participate in the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC). The polytechnic fills an important gap in providing private-sector technical and vocational education in the Ughelli area, the commercial centre of Ughelli North LGA and a hub of the Delta Central senatorial district.

Delta State Polytechnic, Ogwashi-Uku (DSPG) is a state-owned polytechnic established in 2002 by the Delta State Government under Governor James Onanefe Ibori. It is one of three state polytechnics established simultaneously to provide equitable technical education across the three senatorial districts of Delta State. Located in the ancient royal town of Ogwashi-Uku, Aniocha South Local Government Area, DSPG has grown from an initial population of about 200 students in three departments to become one of the foremost polytechnics in the Niger Delta region. The polytechnic is accredited by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) and offers National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) programmes in Art and Design, Business, Engineering, Applied Sciences, and Environmental Studies. The polytechnic recently expanded its computing faculty with highly specialized HND tracks in Artificial Intelligence, Cyber Security, Software Development, and Film Production, positioning itself as a leader in modern digital technical education in the Niger Delta.

Delta State Polytechnic, Otefe-Oghara (DESPO) is a state-owned polytechnic established through a bill signed into law by Governor James Onanefe Ibori in November 2002. It was born out of a partnership between the Delta State Ministry of Education and Westminster University, London — known as the Delta State Higher Education Project (DSHEP). Located in the agricultural community of Otefe in Ethiope West Local Government Area of Delta State, DESPO operates under the motto "Technology for Entrepreneurship," reflecting its philosophy of using technical skills for wealth creation. The polytechnic is accredited by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE). In late 2024, following a rigorous resource verification, NBTE approved 23 additional academic programmes, raising DESPO's total to 53 approved programmes — including cutting-edge ND Civil Engineering, HND Mass Communication, HND Artificial Intelligence, and HND Cyber Security and Data Protection. In June 2025, DESPO held a historic combined convocation for 72,540 graduates spanning 10 sets (2014/2015 to 2023/2024 academic years) — its second ever convocation and the first in a decade.

Delta State School of Marine Technology, Burutu (DESOMATECH), also known as Delta State Maritime Polytechnic (DESMAPOLY), is a state-owned maritime technical institution established by an enabling act on August 2, 2006. It is accredited by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) and classified as a monotechnic, specializing in teaching, training, research and consultancy in the fields of maritime technology, marine engineering, and maritime science and management. The institution operates three campuses: the main campus in Burutu (a riverine community on the Forcados River in Burutu Local Government Area), with additional campuses at Gbaregolor and Utagba Ogbe. DESOMATECH is uniquely positioned along the River Delta, giving students hands-on access to Nigeria's inland waterway network and the oil-rich Niger Delta maritime ecosystem. On March 8, 2025, the institution held its historic first convocation ceremony, graduating students from 11 sets spanning 2011/2012 to 2023/2024 academic years. The institution's mission is to promote competence, expertise and enterprise in Marine Science, Engineering and Technology for the sustainable development of the Niger Delta.
