History of the All Progressives Grand Alliance
From founding to 2026

APGA was founded in 2003 and became particularly influential in Anambra State. The party benefited greatly from its association with Ojukwu, the Biafran war leader. Peter Obi, who later became Labour Party's 2023 presidential candidate, governed Anambra under APGA from 2006 to 2014. Prof. Charles Soludo won the 2021 Anambra governorship election on the APGA platform.
