How to Check JAMB Result 2026 — Portal, SMS & Registration Number
Official step-by-step guide to check your JAMB UTME score for 2026. Two methods: SMS (fastest) and JAMB portal login. Plus result slip printing, CAPS admission and cut-off marks.
JAMB 2026 UTME results are being released 24 hours after each exam day. Results from April 16, 2026 are already out.

Result slip: Login to eFacility → Print Result Slip → Pay ₦1,500
Admission status: Login to eFacility → CAPS
How to Check JAMB Result 2026 — Two Official Methods
JAMB provides two official ways to check your 2026 UTME result. The SMS method is the fastest and works without internet; the portal method gives you more detail and lets you print your result slip.
📱 SMS Method Fastest
Send UTMERESULT to 55019 or 66019 from your registered SIM. Score arrives in minutes. Requires ₦50 airtime. Works without internet.
💻 Portal Method
Login to https://efacility.jamb.gov.ng with your JAMB email and password. Click Check UTME Result. Also needed for printing result slip and checking CAPS admission status.
Method 1 — Check JAMB Result by SMS (2026)
The SMS method is the quickest way to get your score. You need the SIM card you used to register for JAMB and at least ₦50 airtime.
Get Your Registered SIM Ready
You must use the exact SIM card you registered with during JAMB registration. If you send from a different number, you will receive: "This phone number was not used for registration."
Load At Least ₦50 Airtime
The SMS service charges a fee. Make sure you have at least ₦50 airtime on the registered SIM before sending. Insufficient airtime = no response.
Send "UTMERESULT" to 55019 or 66019
Open your phone's messaging app. Create a new SMS. Type UTMERESULT (all uppercase, no spaces). Send it to 55019. If 55019 is busy, try 66019.
Receive Your Score
JAMB sends a reply SMS with your score breakdown by subject and total score. Results may come in batches — if no reply in 10 minutes, try again later. Do not resend repeatedly.

Method 2 — Check JAMB Result on Portal (2026)
The JAMB eFacility portal gives you a detailed score breakdown, and is required for printing your result slip and checking CAPS admission status.
Go to the Official JAMB eFacility Portal
Visit https://efacility.jamb.gov.ng or https://portal.jamb.gov.ng. Both are official. Never use unofficial websites — your login details can be stolen.
Login With Your JAMB Email and Password
Enter the email address and password you created during JAMB registration. Click Login. This takes you to your JAMB dashboard.
Click "Check UTME Result"
On your dashboard, look for the Check UTME Result or View Result option. Click it. Select the exam year 2026 if prompted.
Enter Registration Number
Input your JAMB registration number exactly as it appears on your registration slip. Select exam year 2026. Click Search or Submit.
View Your Result
Your score per subject and total score will be displayed. Take a screenshot or print the page. To get the official result slip, proceed to Print Result Slip (see below).
How to Print JAMB Original Result Slip 2026
The official JAMB result slip (also called the JAMB original result) is a document with your passport photograph, subject scores and registration details. Universities and polytechnics require this during post-UTME screening and admission processing.
Steps to Print Your JAMB Result Slip
- Login to https://efacility.jamb.gov.ng
- Click "Print Result Slip" on your dashboard
- Click "Continue with Payment"
- Pay the ₦1,500 fee via Remita or other available payment channels
- Enter your registration number and select exam year 2026
- Download or print your result slip — keep multiple copies
JAMB CAPS Login — Check Admission Status 2026
CAPS (Central Admissions Processing System) is JAMB's official platform where your admission offer is processed, accepted or rejected. Every legitimate admission in Nigeria must pass through CAPS — any offer made outside CAPS is not legally recognized by JAMB, even if your school collects an acceptance fee.
How to Login to JAMB CAPS
- Go to https://efacility.jamb.gov.ng
- Login with your JAMB email and password
- Click CAPS on your dashboard
- Your admission status will show one of: Admitted, Not Admitted, Awaiting, or Rejected
- If Admitted: click Accept Admission to confirm. Do not delay — the 2026 admission deadline for public universities is 31 October 2026
- After accepting on CAPS: print your JAMB admission letter and complete school clearance
JAMB Cut-Off Marks 2026 — Universities, Polytechnics & Courses
Your UTME score must meet the minimum cut-off mark set by JAMB and your chosen institution. The table below shows official JAMB minimum cut-off marks for 2026. Note that individual institutions can set higher thresholds than the general minimum.

Scores above are JAMB minimum thresholds. Many institutions set higher internal cut-offs. Check your chosen school's direct admission requirements. The 2026 UTME had 1.9 million registered candidates — the most competitive year on record.
What to Do After Checking Your JAMB Result 2026
If Your Score is High (above 200)
Upload your O-Level result on your JAMB profile if not done. Monitor CAPS for your admission offer. Apply for post-UTME at your chosen institution once screening dates are announced. Keep checking CAPS — schools upload admissions in batches.
If Your Score is Between 150 and 200
Your score qualifies for most universities and polytechnics at the JAMB minimum. Consider institutions with lower competitive thresholds. Upload your O-Level result and wait for CAPS. Some state universities have lower cut-offs than federal universities.
If Your Score is Below 150
Scores below 150 do not qualify for university admission under JAMB's 2026 cut-off. However, scores of 100+ qualify for polytechnics and colleges of education. You may also begin preparing for the next UTME cycle — JAMB registration typically opens in January.
Change of Course or Institution
If you want to change your course (₦2,500 fee) or institution (₦2,500 fee) after seeing your result, log in to your JAMB profile at https://efacility.jamb.gov.ng before the change window closes. Only one change is allowed per cycle.
