Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) is a state-owned technology-focused university established on October 19, 1990 and named in honour of the late Chief Samuel Ladoke Akintola, Premier of the former Western Region of Nigeria. Located in Ogbomoso, Oyo State, LAUTECH was previously jointly owned by Oyo and Osun States before Oyo State assumed sole ownership in 2021 following a protracted dispute. The university offers technology, science, health, management and agricultural programmes across 12 faculties with over 30,000 students. LAUTECH consistently ranks among the leading technology universities in southwestern Nigeria and is NUC-accredited across all its programmes.

For fresh 100-level students (2024/2025 session): Oyo State indigenes pay approximately NGN 372,400 per session for most faculties, while non-indigenes pay approximately NGN 459,900. Clinical Science programmes (Medicine and Surgery) exceed NGN 782,000 for non-indigenes. Nursing and Medical Laboratory Science range from NGN 642,000 to NGN 729,700. Engineering programmes attract higher fees than management or arts. The mandatory acceptance fee for fresh students is NGN 50,000. Hostel accommodation is available at separate cost.
