Ajayi Crowther University (ACU) is a private Christian university established in 2005 by the Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion) through its Supra-Diocesan Board West. The university is named after Bishop Samuel Ajayi Crowther (1809–1891), the first African Anglican bishop and the first person to translate the Bible into Yoruba.
