Jimoh Ibrahim Folorunsho was born on 24 February 1967 in Ondo State. He holds a law degree from Obafemi Awolowo University and further qualifications from Harvard University and the University of Cambridge.
A lawyer, businessman and philanthropist, Ibrahim is Chairman and CEO of the Global Fleet Group, a diversified conglomerate with subsidiaries including Air Nigeria, NICON Insurance, NICON Luxury Hotel and Energy Bank, spanning oil and gas, aviation, banking, insurance, hospitality, real estate and publishing. He publishes the National Mirror newspaper and has authored three books.
He was elected Senator representing Ondo South Senatorial District in the 2023 general elections on the APC platform, assuming office on 13 June 2023 and defeating Agboola Ajayi of the PDP, the state's former Deputy Governor.
