Olajide Ipinsagba Emmanuel was born on 2 February 1964 in Ikare-Akoko, Ondo State. A businessman by background, he was elected Senator for Ondo North Senatorial District in the 2023 general elections, defeating the PDP candidate Adetokunbo Modupe, and was sworn into the 10th Senate on 13 June 2023, succeeding long-serving Senator Robert Ajayi Boroffice, who had represented the district since 2011.
He serves as Chairman of the Senate Committee on Public Procurement and as Vice Chairman of the Senate Committee on Petroleum (Downstream). His campaign drew endorsements from outgoing Senator Boroffice and then-Governor Rotimi Akeredolu.
