👤 About Alhaji Teslim Adekunle Igbalaye
Teslim Adekunle Igbalaye was born on 1 December 1968 in Osogbo, the capital of Osun State. He attended St Clare's Nursery and Primary School and Osogbo Grammar School before earning an OND and later an HND in Printing Technology from Yaba College of Technology, Lagos. He subsequently obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in Public Administration from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology and, more recently, a Master of Laws (LLM) from Adeleke University, graduating as best overall postgraduate student in his faculty.
Before his appointment as Secretary to the State Government, Igbalaye served as Chairman of Osogbo Local Government and as a chairman within the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON), where he was noted for human capital development initiatives.
On 21 December 2024, Igbalaye was installed as the Bobagunwa of Osogbo by the Ataoja of Osogbo, Oba Jimoh Oyetunji (Larooye II), succeeding his late father, Alhaji Abdulrasheed Igbalaye, who was the pioneer holder of the title.
