Oluwole "Wole" Jimi-Bada was sworn in as Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice of Osun State by Governor Ademola Adeleke on 19 July 2023. Since assuming office, he has driven a correctional-centre decongestion programme, a zero-tolerance initiative against gender-based violence, and secured funding for the renovation of the Ministry of Justice and provision of equipment for counsel in the ministry.
In November 2023, Jimi-Bada addressed public controversy surrounding the removal of the state's Chief Judge, Justice Adepele Ojo, clarifying that the action followed a petition to the State Judicial Service Commission and House of Assembly, an investigation, and a House resolution asking the Chief Judge to step aside pending inquiry — after which Governor Adeleke appointed Justice Olayinka David Afolabi as acting Chief Judge. He was honoured with a "Man of the Year" award by staff of the Ministry of Justice in January 2025.
