Lagos State University (LASU) is the flagship state university of Lagos State, established in 1983 by Governor Lateef Jakande. From humble beginnings with three faculties, LASU has grown into a comprehensive research university offering programmes across 11 faculties on multiple campuses. The main campus is in Ojo, with additional campuses in Ikeja (clinical sciences) and Epe (engineering and agriculture). LASU is ranked the best state university in Nigeria by the AD Scientific Index 2024 and was ranked Nigeria's second-best university by Times Higher Education in 2021. 💰 LASU School Fees

LASU is a state university with fees subsidised by the Lagos State Government, making it very affordable. For the 2024/2025 academic session, fresh undergraduate (100-level) school fees are NGN 58,030 (Stream 1, without entrepreneurship training) or NGN 151,030 (Stream 2, with entrepreneurship training). A mandatory acceptance fee of NGN 30,000 and medical fee of NGN 30,000 (total NGN 60,000) are payable by all fresh students in addition to tuition. Returning students pay reduced rates from the second year. Medicine and clinical programmes attract higher fees. Lagos State indigenes qualify for fee subsidies.
