Federal Polytechnic, Ukana is a federal government-owned polytechnic established in 2014 by the Federal Government of Nigeria and located in Ukana, Essien Udim Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State. The institution is situated at Km 5 on the Ikot Ekpene-Abak Road. Legal backing for its establishment was provided by the Federal Polytechnics (Amendment) Act 2019. Accredited by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE), the polytechnic has grown rapidly since take-off, with the NBTE approving an additional 19 programmes in May 2025 (approval letters dated 11 May 2025), expanding its total programme offerings to approximately 27 by the 2025/2026 academic session. In 2023, Dr Mercy Daniel Ebong was appointed rector by the Federal Government. The polytechnic is a beneficiary of TETFund intervention projects and hosts an active Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics (ASUP) chapter, which is planning its maiden international conference in June 2026.

In November 2024, the polytechnic received NBTE approval to commence additional programmes, and its 2025/2026 session includes the new ND Law programme.
