ℹ️ Glo New Codes — What Changed & Why
Why did Glo codes change? The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) directed all four networks — MTN, Glo, Airtel and 9mobile — to adopt a single unified set of USSD codes. The goal: one set of codes works on any Nigerian network, so subscribers no longer need to memorise different codes per SIM. Glo adopted these codes in 2023–2024.

❓ FAQs — Glo USSD Codes
Following the NCC harmonisation directive, the new Glo USSD codes are: Recharge *311*PIN#, Airtime balance *310#, Buy data *312#, Data balance *323#, Share data *321#, Borrow airtime *303#, Link NIN *996#, Customer care 121. Old codes like *555*PIN# (recharge), *131# (data) and *124# (balance) have been retired.
*555*PIN# was the old Glo airtime recharge code. It is no longer functional. The new NCC-approved Glo recharge code is *311*VoucherPIN#. For example, dial *311*1234567890123456# to recharge your Glo line. If you dial *555# it will not connect.
Dial *310# to check your Glo airtime balance instantly. Your balance appears on screen and is also sent by SMS. This is the NCC-unified code that replaced the old *124# code. It works on all phones — no internet needed.
Dial *323# to check your Glo data balance. You receive an SMS showing your remaining MB or GB and the expiry date. Alternatively, dial *127*0# which is the legacy Glo data balance code that may still work on some lines.
The Glo ₦200 for 1GB night plan gives 1GB valid from 12AM to 5AM only. Dial *127*60# to activate it. For daytime 1GB data, the closest plan is ₦300 for 1GB (1 day) available via *312#. There is also a ₦200 for 200MB (3-day) plan via *127*56#.
Glo offers a ₦15,000 plan for approximately 75GB valid for 30 days. Dial *312# and follow the menu to subscribe. Glo also offers data rollover — unused data carries over to the next cycle if you renew before expiry, making large plans even better value.
Send "NUMBER" as an SMS to 127 from your Glo line. You will receive a reply SMS showing your Glo phone number. Alternatively, dial *135*8# and your number displays on screen instantly for free.
Dial *135*8# from your Android phone — your Glo number appears on screen immediately. You can also go to Settings → About Phone → SIM Status to see the phone number stored on the SIM card.
All Glo data plans are now under one unified code: *312#. Dial *312# to see all daily, weekly, monthly and mega plans with current prices. Some legacy codes like *127*60# (night plan 1GB ₦200) and *127*57# (night 1.6GB ₦500) still work for specific plans.
The new Glo recharge code is *311*VoucherPIN#. Replace VoucherPIN with the 16-digit PIN on your recharge scratch card. For example: *311*1234567890123456#. The old code *555*PIN# is retired. You can also recharge via bank with *805#.
