Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa appointed him Secretary to the State Government on 24 February 2025, immediately after being sworn in for his full four-year term, succeeding Tayo Oluwatuyi, who had served in an interim capacity from January 2024. Fasoranti was sworn in alongside a new slate of commissioners and special advisers.
