Dr. Oyebanji Filani is the Commissioner for Health and Human Services of Ekiti State. A physician and health economist, he was first appointed in 2020 by Governor Kayode Fayemi and retained by Governor Biodun Oyebanji in November 2022. He chairs the Nigeria Health Commissioners Forum comprising commissioners of health from all 36 states. Under his leadership, Ekiti State was recognised as the best-performing state in disease surveillance and response by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).
