Engr. Oludotun Taiwo was born on 25 October 1973 in Lagos State and is a native of the Owu Kingdom in Abeokuta North, Ogun State. He attended Catholic Comprehensive Secondary School, Ibara, Abeokuta. He holds an HND from Yaba College of Technology, a B.Eng from the University of Lagos, and a postgraduate qualification from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology.
He was first appointed Commissioner for Forestry in December 2019 and was re-appointed to the same role in October 2023 when Governor Abiodun began his second term, making him one of the longest-serving members of the current Ogun State cabinet.
