The Federal University of Health Sciences, Azare (FUHSA) is a federal government health sciences university established in 2021 and located in Azare, the commercial capital of Katagum Local Government Area in Bauchi State, north-eastern Nigeria. FUHSA was created as part of the Federal Government's initiative to expand access to specialised health sciences education across Nigeria, particularly in the underserved north-eastern region. The university is dedicated exclusively to the training of health professionals across clinical and allied health disciplines. FUHSA is accredited by the National Universities Commission (NUC) and its health programmes are subject to oversight by relevant professional bodies including the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN) and the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN).
