Bathiya Wesley Mava'ama was born on 7 July 1983. He represents Hong Constituency in the Adamawa State House of Assembly, first elected in the 2019 general election, and re-elected in 2023. During the 7th Assembly he chaired the House Standing Committee on Education and served as Vice Chairman of the Committee on Local Government Affairs.
He was elected Speaker of the 8th Adamawa State House of Assembly unopposed on 13 June 2023, alongside Deputy Speaker Mohammed Buba Jijiwa. He married Faith Bathiya Wesley in December 2023.
In February 2026, Wesley led 15 of the assembly's 16 PDP members in defecting to the All Progressives Congress, days ahead of Governor Fintiri's own defection to the APC, effectively transferring control of the state legislature to the ruling party.
